In early October, the Government announced a new scheme that committed over 1 Billion dollars to support businesses take on more Apprentices and Trainees. The scheme was introduced as part of the economic recovery from COVID-19. Venues of any size became eligible for a subsidy of 50% off the Australian gross wage paid and it included permanent part time, full time and School Based Apprentices and Trainees.
