Boosting Our Apprentices and Trainees

In early October, the Australian Government announced a new scheme that committed over 1 Billion dollars to support businesses that take on more Apprentices and Trainees. The scheme was introduced as part of the economic recovery from COVID-19.

Venues of any size became eligible for a subsidy of 50% off the Australian gross wage paid and it included permanent part-time, full-time and School- Based Apprentices and Trainees.

CTA Training Specialists usually assists venues all year round with their Apprentices and School-Based Trainees; however, this year after the Boosting Apprenticeships announcement, we have been inundated with enquiries.

Venues from as far away as the Whitsundays want to take advantage of this opportunity and help young people find employment in their local communities.

Although the scheme does run through September 2021, we have already had a great commitment from venues to sign up at least 150 students in School-Based Traineeships across Queensland.
