For as little as $33*, they can undertake training that is funded by one of the Queensland Department of Employment, Small Business and Training programs – a great investment in your team and your venue’s continued success.

How can I train my staff using Queensland Government Funding?

Two types of funding which are available include the Certificate 3 Guarantee funding and the Higher Level Skills Program funding.

The Certificate 3 Guarantee funding is applicable to the SIT30616 Certificate III in Hospitality qualification and you pay only $33*.  The Higher Level Skills Program funding is available for the SIT40416 Certificate IV in Hospitality (you pay only $149^) or SIT50416 Diploma of Hospitality Management (you pay only $199^) qualifications.

How many of your staff fit the eligibility criteria? 

It’s super easy. To be eligible, your team members must:

• Have no prior Certificate III or above in any industry (e.g. hairdressing etc) – excluding anything obtained at high school
• Be aged 15 years or over
• Are no longer at school
• Be a Queensland resident, Australian/New Zealand citizen or permanent resident
• Be employed in hospitality

^Further to the above criteria, for the Certificate IV and Diploma level qualifications, your staff must not have completed or currently be enrolled in a Certificate IV or high qualification.
