Transition to Success Growing Futures for At Risk Youth

Transition to Success, or T2S as it is more commonly known to its students and facilitators, is a program helping young people develop life skills and find employment.

Developed by the Department of Youth Justice in conjunction with the Bundaberg Regional Council, T2S is an advocacy program to change the story for young people in the Youth Justice system.

It is about their value and worth within themselves and their community.  This program gives young people opportunities to develop a healthy mind, body, and skills they need to transition to a future not defined by their past.

Matt Rollo, CTA Training Consultant, participated in this program by facilitating a Certificate II in Hospitality and the results speak for themselves.

Recent T2S Graduate, Brendon Gylick, commented that he has now secured employment through a local business.  “I learnt cooking, barista skills with the coffee machine making coffees for different people, cooking different meals and team building.”

The T2S graduation cake was enjoyed by all who attended.

Friends, family, community members and program facilitators were very excited for graduation day where students received their official graduation certificates, shared their graduation cake  and were able to show off the results of their hard work at Peirson’s Farm (where the program was hosted).

We wish all our graduates a very successful future and are excited at the next opportunity we can participate in where we make a difference to young lives and local communities.
