This course is for the nationally recognised unit of competency SITHGAM022 Provide Responsible Service for Gambling. This course is designed for those who want to work in the gambling industry in Queensland, Western Australia and the Northern Territory.
The course includes key topics such as the importance of responsible gambling, how to recognise gambling harm, the legal responsibility employees have, and how to implement harm minimisation policies and strategies effectively. This is a foundational course designed for those entering the gambling industry.

About RCG (Responsible Conduct of Gambling) Training
The NSW RCG course is also for the nationally recognised unit of competency SITHGAM022 – Provide Responsible Service of Gambling. It is a foundational course for those entering the gambling industry in New South Wales.
The course covers:
- The different types of gambling available in NSW and Australia.
- How gambling problems arise and its impact on those around affected individuals.
- The regulations in place to minimise gambling harm
- How to effectively recognise, assist and report those effected by gambling harm
Course at a Glance
Upon completion of this course you will be issued a Statement of Attainment from CTA Training Specialists. We will also upload your details to L&G NSW letting them know that you have completed the course.
L&G NSW will then send you an additional assessment that you will need to complete to get your Interim Certificate.
About ARCG (Advanced RCG) Training
ARCG (Advanced Responsible Conduct of Gambling) is a non-accredited but mandatory course for Responsible Gambling Officers (RGO) and senior staff at licensed gambling venues in NSW.
It is an advanced course for those in managerial positions or positions of influence.
The course covers topics such as:
- Anticipating and managing high-intensity situations and altercations using advanced interpersonal skills
- Effectively assisting distressed personal.
- Fostering a culture of responsible gambling
Course at a Glance
Upon completion of the course, you will receive an ARCG completion certificate. If you hold a digital competency card, it will be added to your competency card for free. If you would like the certification to be added to your physical competency card, please visit the competency card self-service portal to do it.
