VET Investment

The Queensland Government invests in training based on industry advice to help Queenslanders gain the skills they need for meaningful and sustainable employment. Funding is focused on reducing skills shortages, training for in-demand jobs, and increasing the number of Queenslanders with formal post-school qualifications.

Within the Vet Investment budget, students, employers and schools can access training programs through VET in Schools (VETiS), Certificate 3 Guarantee or Higher Level Skills.

Training providers must be approved by the department as a Skills Assure Supplier to deliver the eligible qualifications under this funding. Students only pay for the number of units they complete as CTA Training Specialists do not charge for credit transfers.

Queensland school students can take nationally recognised vocational education and training (VET) qualifications while still in school (Years 10, 11, and 12). These courses count towards the Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) and are aligned with jobs and skills in demand.

Schools, in consultation with students and their parents, can choose any approved provider to deliver the eligible qualifications under this funding stream.

Funding and Co-contribution fees

CTA Training Specialists does not charge a co-contribution fee for eligible qualifications for those students accessing their VETiS funding.
