We’ve all faced similar challenges when it comes to the difficulties in getting staff trained in venues to a competent level.
There are always competing demands on everyone’s time in and out of the business, and the need to meet operational requirements generally take the forefront when it comes to our priorities.
However, we all can certainly appreciate the importance of ensuring your team have received training across a range of business areas, are able to work safely and know what to do in the event of a fire or other emergency.
DWS Hospitality Specialists have teamed up with CTA Training to provide you with a number of fire safety, & work health online courses to help you train and upskill your staff with ease.
Available throughout August and September, CTA Training Specialists are offering venues 50% off our Hospitality Hazards, Fire Safety Awareness and our Fire Warden online courses by using the code SAFETY50 at the checkout.
Hospitality Hazards covers the main hazards found in venues – from the causes that usually result in big injuries such as manual handling, chemicals, forklifts, mental health hazards and slip, trip and falls. This is a great overview of what staff need to be aware of, and be able to manage to stay safe and injury free.
Fire Safety Awareness is for all staff and in QLD, and is a legal requirement to train your new staff within 2 days of starting work. This course provides all the information about fire safety, fire prevention and evacuation procedures. It is designed to be undertaken in conjunction with a walkaround of your venue to point out the fire equipment, exits, assembly areas and warden stations.
Our Fire Warden course covers the warden roles and responsibilities in a venue. It covers the day-to-day responsibilities, in addition to information about steps to follow in an emergency. Further, this course provides engaging materials on how to manage an emergency, ensuring the best outcome with life safety as the priority. Wardens are essential roles in a venue to be able to search and evacuate staff, visitors and patrons effectively and safely.
If you have any questions about our range of online safety training courses, or would like to book bulk courses for your team (5+ members), please do not hesitate to reach out to us via email at [email protected].
