Known for his strategic mindset, Aaron helps clients manage workforce development while ensuring smooth workflows for venues. He oversees operations at CTA with a focus on strong outcomes, training compliance, and delivering an effective student lifecycle.
Aaron’s career began as a school-based apprentice chef with Hilton International. Upon completing his apprenticeship, he pursued a bachelor’s degree while exploring diverse roles within Hilton Hotels.
Aaron’s passion for learning drives his growth and development.
Over the years, Aaron worked with renowned hospitality operations such as MIRVAC Hotels and Resorts, Hayman Island, Walker Corporation, Troon Golf, and Essential Brands Group, gaining valuable industry experience. While he once aspired to become a fighter pilot, his height led him to refocus on hospitality, completing his apprenticeship and degree.
He has since earned multiple qualifications, including:
- Diploma of Leadership and Management
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Diploma of Hospitality
- Certifications in Myer-Briggs and Emotional Intelligence
- Bachelor of International Hotel and Tourism Management
As Aaron transitioned out of his operational hospitality career, he felt a strong pull toward training. A chance meeting with John Dickson at an industry event led him to CTA, where he found the perfect fit to share his expertise and passion for education. Eleven years later, he remains committed to shaping the next generation of hospitality professionals.
Outside of his professional life, Aaron enjoys sports and coaching. He holds a Level 2 Coaching certification and actively coaches his sons’ soccer and cricket teams. A lifelong learner, he’s also completed courses in wine, beer, meat smoking, fishing, boating, and even caravan towing.
