NSW RSA & RCG Course

CTA will issue your Statement of Attainment on the same day as when you submit your assessments if the following conditions are met:

• All assessments submitted before 4 pm AEST.
• You pass your assessments.
• Your USI number has been verified.

While we aim to send all certificates and Statement of Attainments on the same day, occasionally, there can be delays of up to 2 days, especially around public holidays. For more information, please contact our support team at 0738788977.

The RSA and RCG course bundle for NSW is for those wanting to get their Liquor & Gaming NSW competency card and work in the hospitality industry.

CTA Training Specialists is an approved provider for both the RSA online course and the NSW RCG Virtual (Zoom) course.

NSW provides the one Competency Card for RSA and RCG.

If you already have a NSW RSA competency card, on completion of your RCG course you will automatically be sent a new card with your updated competencies.

Note: in NSW all competencies must expire on the same date, calculated five years from the first competency gained e.g. if your RSA competency expires in June 2023, even if you gain your RCG competency in June 2020 both competencies will still have an expiration date of June 2023. This ensures all your competencies are current and expire on the same date.

If you are due for a RSA renewal, we recommend first completing that and then doing the RCG course. That way your RCG remains valid for as close to 5 years as possible.

If you don’t currently have an RSA Competency Card, you may require both RSA and RCG for your role. If so, then you can complete both courses with CTA and save $20. View our RSA RCG bundle for more information.

If you only require your RCG Competency Card, then this is the course for you. Upon completion, you will receive a Statement of Attainment from us. Additionally, we let Liquor & Gaming NSW know that you have completed the RCG course and they will send you an additional assessment that needs to be completed prior to receiving your Interim Certificate.

This Interim Certificate is valid for 90 days can be used to get your Competency Card from your local NSW Services centre.

You must complete your refresher through Services NSW.

Redoing a full RSA or RCG course will not renew your competency card.

Visa holders and international students (including subclass 500) can undertake this course through CTA Training Specialists.

You will require a USI to receive your Statement of Attainment.
