NSW Online Licensee Training Course
Upon completing the course, you will receive an Interim Certificate from Liquor & Gaming NSW.
You must take this interim certificate to your local Services centre to get your competency card photo updated and be issued with a new competency card. Completing this course automatically renews your current RSA for another five years.
Same Day Licensee Training Interim Certificates
CTA will lodge your details with L&GNSW after you have been assessed as competent.
Your Interim certificate will be issued via email. While we aim to send all certificates and Statement of Attainments on the same day, occasionally, there can be delays of up to 2 days, especially around public holidays.

Licensee Training Requirements in New South Wales
After you have finished your online licensee training, you will need to book a call with a trainer to complete the course.
You will be emailed with a link to book a call after you have finished the online component of the course.
Upon completion of the course, CTA Training Specialists will issue you an interim certificate to acknowledge successful completion. You must take this interim certificate to your local Services centre to get your competency card photo updated and be issued with a new competency card.
Your Licensee Training is valid for five years.
Completing your licensee training renews your RSA competency but not your RCG competency.
If you hold an RCG Competency Card and want to keep it valid, you must complete the RCG refresher within 90 days before enrolling in a Licensee Training course.
You are required to refresh your Licensee Training every five years. The refresher training has to be done with L&G NSW. Completing a refresher course through an RTO will not renew your competency card.
Three months before your competency card expires, you will receive an SMS with a link to the refresher course from L&G NSW.
Completing the refresher course will renew your RSA but not your RCG competency. To maintain your RCG endorsement, you must complete your RCG refresher course prior to your competency expiry date.
Only approved training organisations can issue a valid interim certificate for Licensee Training. CTA Training Specialists is an approved training provider.

No, your Licensee Training is only valid in NSW and cannot be used in other states.
