FAQs

A Certificate IV indicates a Level 4 qualification. According to the AQF, this type of certification is aimed at providing a “broad range of specialised knowledge and skills” to students with little prior experience in a subject. It’s an advanced qualification that equips participants with the skills they need to kickstart or supplement their careers.

We find that prior hospitality experience, even in table service of food and beverage items, can be a valuable asset alongside your studies.

Once you have completed all the required hours of practical work experience and passed the written exams, you will be well-equipped for a career in the hospitality industry. Many students go on to find lucrative employment in restaurants and bars, or they decide to continue their studies and progress to the SIT50422 Diploma of Hospitality Management.
