The CTA Training Specialists team celebrated an incredible milestone this past October. For the first time in our 30-year history, we welcomed our 200th active Commercial Cookery Apprentice! In an industry that is currently facing many talent shortages, we are proud to work alongside venues & Head Chefs to develop our future culinary superstars!

The impact of COVID-19 on the Hospitality industry meant that Chefs were in the top 10 professions with the highest fall in jobs (ABS 2022).

The results from the job fall contrasted with a significant exodus from the profession since 2020, resulting in Australia losing nearly a quarter of our qualified Chefs. 

As one of Australia’s key professions the Government is looking to fill skill shortages in the coming years, CTA Training Specialists is proud to partner with a range of hospitality venues in QLD and the talented Head Chefs leading the charge to grow the next generation of great Chefs.
