Licensee training is required for most licensees, club secretaries, and approved managers.
Advanced Licensee training is an additional course and endorsement for operators who trade in a higher risk environment, such as:

those authorised to trade after midnight on more than 12 occasions in any 12-month period
-
specific business types, such as night clubs, karaoke bars
-
operators subject to a regulatory scheme
-
as directed by L&GNSW or ILGA
Here’s a non-exhaustive list of times you may need advanced licensee training:

Licensee of a hotel/ general bar that is authorised to trade regularly past midnight.

A licensee with a limited license for a special event or trade fair with over 2000 patrons and after midnight trading.

Licensee of bars, wine bars, karaoke venues, and adult relaxation facilities.

Licensee of restaurants or cafés granted primary service authorisation and authorised to trade regularly past midnight.

Licensee of vessels, catering services and functions centres, racing facilities, sporting facilities, tertiary institutions and public arena and events authorised to trade regularly past midnight.

Licensee of public entertainment venue other than a cinema or theatre, such as nightclubs authorised to trade regularly past midnight.

Licensee of pop-up bar, event or promotion that holds a drink on-premises authorisation and authorised to trade regularly past midnight.

Licensee of a producer or wholesaler that Holds a drink on-premises authorisation and authorised to trade regularly past midnight.

Licensee of a small bar authorised to trade regularly between 2am – 5am
