Queensland Clubs often have a policy detailing the terms and conditions of the venue’s liquor license included in their induction program. Below are some suggested items to include in your policy.
Unless the club’s Liquor Licence states otherwise, sales of takeaway alcohol cease at 12 midnight (including staff), all takeaways must be removed from the premises before 12.30am (including staff).
On your takeaways, ensure that another staff member performs the transaction and issues you a receipt for EVERY takeaway. Goods found in your possession without a receipt will be deemed to have been stolen, and will result in disciplinary action. This may lead to termination of your employment.
Make yourself familiar with the terms and conditions of the club’s Liquor Licence, as you are required to enforce all conditions.
An effective induction program ensures that the staffs have an understanding of the terms and conditions of the club’s liquor licence.
