Tiramisu Recipe:

Finger-licking and irresistible, this beautiful Tiramisu recipe will make anyone’s day. Full with coffee, vanilla and butter, you will have coffee and dessert all in one.

INGREDIENTS

  • 200gm unsalted butter
  • 200gm caster sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 4 medium eggs
  • 200gm self raising flour
  • Sponge finger biscuits
  • Strong coffee
  • 300ml fresh cream
  • 100gm caster sugar
  • 100ml water
  • Cocoa powder to garnish

METHOD

Step 1 – Preheat oven to 190 degrees.

Step 2 – Grease and flour cake tins.

Step 3 – Put butter, sugar and vanilla in a mixing bowl.

Step 4 – Beat until a light and creamy consistency.

Step 5 – Slowly beat in eggs one at a time until all combined.

Step 6 – Fold in flour until fully mixed.

Step 7 – Pour into cake tins and bake for 20 mins or until risen and golden.

Step 8 – Let cool on cake racks.

Step 9 – Make up coffee.

Step 10 – Put 100gm sugar and 100ml water in a pan and boil until all sugar is dissolved.

Step 11 – Add coffee to this to make a sugar mix.

Step 12 – Add coffee to cream and beat until fully whipped.

Step 13 – Take sponge and cut in half.

Step 14 – Put bottom on plate and partially soak with coffee sugar syrup.

Step 15 – Pipe some of the coffee cream onto the cake.

Step 16 – Take sponge fingers and quickly soak in sugar mix.

Step 17 – Place on top of cream and sponge.

Step 18 – Pipe some more cream on the top of the fingers.

Step 19 – Partially soak cake top in coffee sugar syrup and place on top of cream.

Step 20 – Cover cake in coffee cream.

Step 21- Place sponge finger around outside of the cake.

Step 22 – Sprinkle cocoa on top of cake to garnish.
