What is customer service?

By definition, customer service is not just simply providing courteous communication with patrons.  It is a complex mix of politeness, anticipation, willingness, communication and above all – a committed desire to please.

Customer service is not something that can be accomplished on your own. It entails a committed effort in your behalf and the colleagues you work with.

An accepting and focussed team on the organisation’s core values in regard to the “Customer Service Standards” is of paramount importance.

Why is quality customer service so important?

There has been an unprecedented growth in the Hospitality Sector in Australia both in the Hotels and Resorts Sector as well as the Club Industry, with many new properties reflecting the image and services provided by others in their sector.

When we have so many businesses around with similar environments, similar entertainment, similar food and beverages, we need to focus on those things that do make a customer’s experience of coming into our venue as unique as possible.
