Lasseters centre of entertainment is the jewel in the tourism crown for Central Australia, complementing a range of natural assets including the Larapinta Trail and the McDonnel Ranges.
The property includes a major gaming floor with 325 slot machines and 19 table games. There are 205 rooms in the complex, major convention centre with banquet seating for up to 1,200 and five independent food outlets ranging from a casual pool-side café to a large high volume steak/brasserie.
Lasseters is a highly successful integrated casino, convention centre and resort with one of the largest F&B operations in the Northern Territory. The Chief Operating Officer is seeking a committed Executive Chef to join his young and progressive senior management team to run the food operations as a significant business unit.
As the Executive Chef, you’ll have a great degree of control over the five diverse food outlets, convention centre and in-room dining operations. You’ll participate in the business planning for the property and have input into the broader operations so that all parts of the business integrate.
Your leadership will be evident and further honed as you manage a team of over 40.
Your expertise will be instrumental in developing menus to suite the various outlets and your business skills will be applied to realise quality standards, revenue, labour and gross profit targets.
This opportunity is different from the run-of-the-mill resort executive positions. The property is independent so there are no management layers through to head office. Your business plan will be developed by you and your executive colleagues for your outlets.
