FAQ: Government Funded Training

Get your training costs covered

For eligible participants your training can be funded by the Queensland Government under a User Choice Agreement

How can I train my staff using Queensland Government Funding?

The Government operates a funding program called “User Choice” to pre-qualified Registered Training Organisations (RTO’s) like Club Training Australia. The funding covers the complete cost of training and in some circumstances, additional incentives paid directly to the students. This type of training is also known as a Traineeship.

Where does the money come from?

The User Choice program provides public funding for the delivery of accredited, entry-level training to apprentices and trainees.

The program works in conjunction with the Commonwealth Australian Apprenticeships System, under which apprentices and trainees (also known in some jurisdictions as “Australian Apprentices”) enter into legally binding training contracts with their employers and receive structured training to achieve a nationally recognised qualification.

Can all of my staff do the training and have their costs covered?

Traineeships are available for new  employees who are employed either full-time or part-time. Funding is subject to eligibility conditions, contact Scott Robertson or Jonathan Waller to discuss staff eligibility. Alternatively access our government funding tool to find out if your staff are eligible.

How long does the training take?

Traineeships usually take between 9-18 months to complete, depending on your needs.

Where will the training take place?

Training is conducted onsite at your venue or workplace by a qualified Trainer and Assessor. All of our trainers and assessors have professional industry experience and formal qualifications.
