Who are we?

CTA Training Specialists, formerly Club Training Australia (CTA) RTO 31607 is one of the leading Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) in the Queensland hospitality industry.  For over 25 years we’ve maintained the highest possible standard of Government and industry accreditation and registration.

CTA provides nationally accredited on and off-the-job training tailored for apprentices, trainees, employers and staff at various hospitality establishments throughout Queensland. CTA also prides itself on working with, contributing to and assisting over 300 venues across Queensland, including Casinos, Hotels, Clubs, Pubs, Restaurants and Cafés.

Nobby’s Beach Surf Lifesaving Club are currently looking for apprentices and from your apprenticeship, you will complete a SIT30816 Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, giving you the skills and abilities to become a qualified cook in a variety of exciting hospitality establishments!

Learning from industry professionals who have gained over 20 years of experience in premium Australian restaurants at a senior level, you will enjoy a vibrant and comprehensive program that equips you for the fast pace of back-of-house operations.

With this nationally recognised qualification, you will be able to take your skills anywhere food is prepared; from five star restaurants, bustling cafes, trendy pubs, community clubs to large hotel chains.

Good communication and people skills

Ability to work as part of a team, plan your time and to use your initiative

Be organised, prepared, adaptable, creative, disciplined, hard-working and open to flexible working arrangements (including shift work)

Ability to stay calm in difficult situations

High level of personal cleanliness and hygiene
