When assessing a chef’s ability, it is easy to simply draw upon the quality of their tools and materials. However, in the broad scheme of things, a stunning kitchen does not make a chef a chef.
But then again – it sure if nice to have!
Early this month, three of CTA Training Specialists’ Apprentices had the opportunity to train and study in The Ville Resort-Casino’s luxurious facilities as part of their Commercial Cookery course. These state-of-the-art spaces have continuously been an inspiration for CTA’s Commercial Cookery Training Specialist Chris, offering an exceptional environment for learning. When this is combined with The Ville’s unceasing professionalism, bringing Apprentices to the venue has always been a joy.
Yet, despite The Ville’s iconic presence in Townsville, it is safe to say that Chris’s current Apprentices are not new to top-class venues and facilities. With experiences at Hotel West End, Hotel Brandon and Cowboys Leagues Clubs, the three Apprentices created a series of delectable dishes throughout their visit.
These creations involved fruit, vegetables, eggs, and farinaceous competencies. Favourites included Boston Baked Beans, Scrambled Eggs, and Bananas Foster.
We are enthralled to continue to support these gifted Apprentices on their journeys into the world of cooking. Their attitude and aptitude have been second-to-none, demonstrating a strong level of care for their craft.
