And the Winner is ….

In exciting news, the Winners and Finalists of the 2017 QLD Training Awards have been announced! For those of you who are unfamiliar, the Queensland Training Awards have celebrated the state’s top training achievers for the past 55 years and this year we were pretty excited to congratulate some of our students as they won in their categories, or were named finalists.

As proud sponsors of the Metropolitan Regional Finals this year, which is exciting enough, we also had two students awarded in their regions! Congratulations to Emma Plant of Port Douglas & District Combined Clubs, trained by Club Training Australia and winner Vocational Student of the Year in the Tropical North Queensland Region!

Having learned early on that combining work and study was her preferred approach to leaning, Emma was eager to undertake a hospitality Diploma. Guided by her mantra, ‘Knowledge is growth’, Emma’s hard work and passion have been rewarded by her continued personal and professional growth, earned through her experiences while studying. Recently promoted to General Manager, we couldn’t be prouder of Emma and her achievements!

We are also proud of Jake Skinner from Alex Surf Lifesaving Club, another student of Club Training Australia, who was one of the finalists in the School-based Apprentice or Trainee of the Year in the North Coast region! Trained by Unity College and Club Training Australia, we are thrilled for Jake and the Alex Surf Lifesaving Club for their ongoing commitment to education and training in the industry!
